What should a logo cost in Egypt?

The range is real, and it is mostly about scope

A 500 EGP logo and a 50,000 EGP logo are usually not the same purchase. The cheap end is one person drawing one mark, delivered as a PNG. The expensive end includes research, several explored directions, a full file set, and usage rules for everyone who will touch the brand afterwards.

Most small businesses do not need the expensive end. They do need more than a PNG, because the moment you print a sign, run an ad, or hand files to a web developer, a single flat image stops being enough.

What actually drives the price

Number of directions explored. One concept is cheaper than three, because three is three times the work, not one designer being three times slower.

Deliverables. A vector source file, transparent and solid variants, a mono version and a colour palette are what make a logo usable. Ask what you receive, not just what you see.

Revisions. A fixed number of revisions keeps both sides honest. Unlimited revisions usually means the price already assumes you will need several.

Who carries the risk. If the designer disappears mid-project, who replaces them? That is a real cost, and it is normally priced into a managed service rather than a freelance quote.

How to judge a quote

Ask for the file list in writing before you pay. "Logo design" is not a scope; "primary logo in SVG, PDF and transparent PNG, plus black and white variants and a colour palette" is.

Ask what happens if you dislike everything. A serious answer names a revision count and an escalation path. A vague answer means you are the escalation path.

Be suspicious of a price that assumes no revisions at all. Nobody gets a brand mark right first time on every project, and a quote that pretends otherwise will produce an argument later.
